Services

Student services

Community Engagement integrates service to the greater community with classroom instruction, connects service to academic content, and encourages personal reflection. Community Engagement also supports a number of programs allowing students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other Centenary community members to perform meaningful service throughout the local and global community.

Housing services

All residence hall rooms at Centenary start with the basics: an extra-long single/twin bed, a chest of drawers, a desk, and a chair. But once students put their personal touches on the space, no two rooms are alike!

Library services

The John F. Magale Library offers a wide range of resources for students, alumni and community members. Magale Library is committed to offering excellent service while adhering to Centenary College’s overall mission. While promoting the high standards and principles of Centenary, Magale strives to remain the center of information and research for all its students and faculty.

ICT services

Centenary provides wireless and wired Internet (through a free account with Apogee) and phone access to all students who live in the residence halls.

Every room is equipped with one Ethernet jack per bed in addition to wireless to connect each resident's computer with the Residence Hall network.

Medical services

Centenary's Department of Public Safety works in and with the College community to provide a safe environment for all students, faculty, and staff.

Student Life

Campus life

The sixty-five-acre campus of Centenary College offers gorgeous venues for weddings. The lush campus includes historic Brown Chapel, built in 1955. Brown Chapel features vaulted ceilings with seating for approximately 600 guests where the wedding party can make a dramatic entrance down the 81-foot aisle. The Chapel is handicapped accessible on the west side.

Sports facilities

The Centenary Fitness Center is a great resource for the campus community. Memberships are also available for the Shreveport/Bossier City community. Design your own program or join a group for exercise or sport.

Student clubs

Between classes, campus involvement, and social activities, most Centenary students keep a pretty full calendar. Centenary has over 60 registered student organizations that receive support from the Student Government Association.
