Reutlingen University was founded in 1855 as a College of Weaving and Textiles. It was to be an institute for textile teaching and research, founded on the initiative of local industry, the town of Reutlingen and the Kingdom of Württemberg, and it has remained true to its roots right up to the present day. Reutlingen University still offers facilities for spinning, weaving and knitting.
We offer 46 degree programmes at Bachelor’s and Master’s level, in which we train the top executives of the future. At the same time it is very important to us to support our students’ personal development and to ensure that they become specialists and managers for whom social responsibility is second nature.
Reutlingen University is a successful partner in applied research and development. Our central academic facility, the Reutlingen Research Institute, actively includes students in research projects and is the initial point of contact for organising research projects.
The Global Student Satisfaction Awards empower students across the globe to determine the best universities of 2021. Universities with a score above 4.0 (out of 5) in any of the 8 award categories, receive Badges of Excellence. Congratulations!
