Founded in 1909 in Helena, Montana, by the Catholic Diocese of Helena, Carroll offers an outstanding and affordable education that positions students aggressively for successful job placement and admission to graduate, law and medical schools.
At the laying of the cornerstone of what he then called "Capitol Hill College," Bishop John Carroll declared, "Knowledge and virtue are the armor with which Capitol Hill College shall strive to equip its students." With these words Bishop Carroll dedicated the site where St. Charles Hall would soon stand: the centerpiece of the college he visioned and built and that would one day bear his name.
The Center for Research Libraries makes available approximately five million publications, archives, and collections and one million digital resources to its member libraries to supplement their own humanities, science, and social science holdings. CRL materials can be obtained for extended loan periods and at no cost by users affiliated with member libraries.

The Corette Library is the sole library on the Carroll College campus. The current building was completed in 1979, and is named after long-time supporters Jack and Sallie Corette.
The Library provides access to electronic databases, thousands of electronic periodicals and print periodicals, and almost 300,000 monographs.
Campus Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) provides technology services and support for students, faculty, and staff through the Technology Support Center, located in the St Charles Lobby area. Services include assistance with connections to the campus network, and general computer system troubleshooting.
The camp Health Care Provider is a licensed physician, registered nurse, emergency medical technician, or paramedic who is responsible to supervise health care when camp is in session, and who creates and updates a written health care plan for use at camp.

The Carroll Fighting Saints are among the most successful athletic programs in the NAIA. We’ve won six national football championships in the last 13 years, and we regularly win the George Bandy Award for the top athletic program in the Frontier Conference.
Each year there are nearly 350 campus events hosted by students, and we offer more than three dozen student groups covering interests that range from academics, to music, to faith, to service, to health, to athletics, to the environment, and everything in between.
