Services

Student services

As a student, you have genuine needs and expectations. As Student Government Association, our goal is to ensure all of those needs and expectations are met. SGA seeks to solve students’ biggest problems and help fulfill their greatest ambitions. One of the best ways to accomplish this is by providing students with outlets true to their passions. We offer many ways to get involved and embrace meaningful work in the form of clubs and organizations. Our student-led groups help enhance studies and ensure long-lasting growth of students.

Housing services

Our housing options range from traditional two-person rooms to eight-person suites. All residence halls have separate floors reserved for male and for female students, and our student rooms come equipped with Internet connections, basic cable television and a telephone line with a private extension.

Library services

Mount Mercy’s Busse Library is physically open approximately 83 hours per week during spring and fall semesters and virtually open 24/7 with access to many electronic resources through Brightspace. Our building is 65,000 square feet with nearly 84,000 volumes and multiple computing areas for students – 20 PCs in the computer classroom, 35 computers in the Reference Area, and a Mac computer lab.

Student Life

Campus life

With 30+ student clubs and organizations, students can connect with others who share similar values and interests. Campus Ministry engages students and encourages exploration of faith through mass, spiritual direction, reflection groups, service learning, and volunteer opportunities.

Sports facilities

  • 18 varsity athletic teams and numerous intramural opportunities
  • Nine academic and residential buildings, including new outdoor and renovated indoor athletic facilities.

Student clubs

Our amazing Enactus club heads many community-based projects, like the life-changing EmpowHer initiative. Science Clubtravels to local grade schools, wowing kids with CheMMUsical, eye-catching experiments set to music. English Clubpublishes the artful Paha Review. And our Improv Club entertains fellow students with the popular Beggin’ for Mercy improv shows.
