Founded in 1863 in the Lower Kensington section of Philadelphia, the University is the largest and second oldest Lasallian college or university in the United States.

As a Catholic university rooted in the liberal arts tradition, La Salle challenges students to contemplate life’s ultimate questions as they develop their faith, engage in a free search for truth, and explore their full human potential. As a Lasallian university, named for St. John Baptist de La Salle, patron saint of teachers, La Salle promotes excellence in teaching and scholarship, demonstrates respect for each person, nurtures mentoring relationships, and encourages authentic community.

A major university boasting many Nobel Prize winners may seem the best place for research, but how often do you suppose such “stars” even speak to undergraduates? If you want to prepare yourself for professional careers or further study, you will find at La Salle faculty members who are actively investigating and publishing-and, even more important, eager to mentor undergraduates in research projects.

My experience in college

My experience at La Salle Chihuahua was simultáneous, at some points in the career we had excelent teachers and others not so good, but overall i tried to learn and extract the positive from all the courses and teachers. The university is missing a little innovation, technology wise. And now that i am about to graduate i feel the need to have a Masters so i can be more...

I had really good and experienced teachers. And good fieldtrips of subject of study, but still there's no money for research in general in Colombia, and the education is reeeally expensive, but we do as much as we can for study, making good efforts and taking opportunities to support this country
