About

History

Founded in 1827 by Rev. John Finley Crowe, Hanover College experienced a turbulent early period. It has become an established institution of liberal arts education. In 2002, the College celebrated its 175th anniversary.

Housing services

Library services

The Duggan Library vigorously and visibly sustains the distinctive mission and vision of Hanover College. By offering unimpeded access to quality resources, services, and programs, we nurture and challenge users to take responsibility for maximizing their potential as scholars.

ICT services

HCTV is Hanover's 24-hour television channel. Accessed on campus and via local cable television it offers student created programming, news & live broadcasting of special events.

Medical services

If you are a student or scholar planning on traveling to pursue your education outside your home country, health insurance is a necessity. Most student visas and learning institutions require visiting foreign students be covered by a comprehensive health insurance policy. You may also find that the coverage from your home country will not follow you while you are studying abroad.

In addition to being named one of the 20 most beautiful campuses in the country, Hanover is also one of the most comfortable places to be. Our current students describe it as a home away from home – big enough to always meet somebody new, small enough to see someone you know wherever you go.

With a coffee shop, gym, four dining facilities, 60 social and academic organizations, an active Greek community, 650 wooded acres ready for you to explore, events and concerts, and planned excursions like white-water rafting, your weekends will be far from boring.

Accreditation

Hanover College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Hanover's teacher-certification programs for elementary and secondary education is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Indiana Department of Education.
