Ioannis Gregoriou establishes the first Business College in Cyprus under the name Cyprus College in 1961. Rising in the rankings, European University Cyprus has been gaining local, regional and global acknowledgement of our efforts to be a student-focused and innovative institution, with an emphasis on an international orientation, sustainability and industry/community engagement.

Education

Our five schools are organized into eleven departments offering internationally recognized Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. degrees. Drawing on current online e-learning technologies and effective teaching and moderator methodologies, the Distance Education Unit offers a range of degree programs to students from around the world that satisfy demands not met by the traditional face-to-face education model.

Research

Research activity at European University Cyprus covers both Basic and Applied research as well as the Arts. The academics and researchers of the University also look for opportunities for commercialization of their research results. The University places strong emphasis on linking teaching with research and carrying out outreach activities which aim to stir the interest of young people to pursue a career in research and innovation.The research activity of the university as measured by its success in securing external research funding and authoring quality journal publications increased at the rate of at least 10% per year in the last decade.

Housing services

Our student accommodation units, Unihalls Trinity, are located only minutes away from campus and are designed to offer students high quality living spaces with peripheral services and amenities at their doorstep.
U-CITY Residence is located 300 meters from University campus. This building has 78 fully furnished and equipped studio apartments of 28-35 square meters.
The Med -Boutique is located 250 meters from University campus. This building has 35 fully furnished and equipped studio apartments of 35-49 square meters. The weekly rent ranges from €169 to €208 depending on the choice of studio apartment.

Library services

As the intellectual center of the campus, the EUC Library offers students physical spaces for quiet study, group project meetings, research and learning. It also provides 24/7 access to digital spaces where the EUC community can find information in an electronic format from around the world.

ICT services

Microsoft has selected European University Cyprus to be its partner institution for the establishment of the only Microsoft Innovation Center in Cyprus. The operation of The Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC) at European University Cyprus will have an enormous impact on students, faculty, IT professionals, researchers, the economy and society at large.

Medical services

The First Aid and Emergency Unit at EUC offers students and staff general medicine, urgent care and first aid. The unit is located on the ground floor of the West Block next to the university cafeteria and the Student Advising Center. The unit is fully equipped with the appropriate medical equipment and supplies for the provision of first aid to the university community.

Sports facilities

European University Cyprus’ Athletic program is an integral part of university life. The men’s and women’s teams include football, futsal, basketball, volleyball, handball, track & field, judo, tennis, badminton, and others. All university teams participate in the leagues organized by the Cyprus University Sports Federation. In addition, the European University Cyprus men’s handball team participates in the Cyprus National League. European University Cyprus has one of the best indoor athletic facilities in the country.
