History
The Università Politecnica delle Marche, which was founded in 1969 in Ancona, offers excellent conditions for study and research in a stimulating and comfortable environment.Ancona is located along the central Adriatic coast on an elbow-shaped promontory (its name in fact derives from the Greek word “Ankon” meaning elbow). Ancona boasts one of Italy’s most important ports.

The University Sports Group (CSU) facilities are open to all students and staff. Most team games, such as basketball, football, volleyball, etc... as well as tennis, kickboxing, are available.There is also a gym for aerobics, a swimming pool and some agreements for skiing, sailing, and horse riding. So bring your trainers with you, if you would like to take part in these activities during your stay in Ancona!
