INTO Oregon State University is dedicated to helping you adjust as quickly as possible to life in the US. With organized events like International Student Orientation and weekend excursions, you'll make new friends and adjust to the US lifestyle, quickly. Additionally, we have language advisors, the INTO OSU Student Success Association, Health Services, Visa and Immigration support and Public Safety to help you with a variety of matters.
Everything you need for a successful academic year is right here. Your room is fully furnished with a bed, nightstand, desk, chair, lamp and wardrobe. Arriving late? No worries. You'll find a linen package including bed sheets, pillowcase, pillow, blanket, towel and washcloth. Residence halls offer a variety of amenities to make your stay more comfortable.
Single gender floors and wings are available on campus as well as prayer and spiritual spaces. Halal food options are also available in all dining centers.
OSU has two health clinics located on campus. If you get sick, the nurses and doctors are here to help you feel better. If you have the OSU Student Insurance Plan, you can visit the Insurance Office to ask questions or get help. They'll let you know what your insurance covers and how much you'll have to pay yourself. Student Health Services information is available in Arabic and Chinese.
US campuses are organized like villages; Oregon State University is no exception. From your accommodation to the bookstore where you can buy class materials, you'll find everything you need for your student life on campus. Head over to the on-campus coffee shops where you can hang out with your new friends. Everything is designed to provide you with the support and resources you need.
Having a healthy lifestyle is important for success in your studies. There are many facilities on campus for you to get exercise. Intramural sports are very popular, you can join one of the 35 different sport leagues and compete against your fellow Beavers. If you'd like more competition, club sports are student-run organizations that participate in regional and national leagues and tournaments. You'll also have access to the Dixon Recreation Center, which is included in your tuition. It's open late at night, so you can fit a workout into your busy schedule or simply enjoy the hot tub.
OSU also has over 300 clubs, societies and organizations to get involved with and show your school pride. Whether you want to join a sorority or frat, make an impact through humanitarian projects or join a student chapter within your field of study, the university has something for everyone. As a member, you’ll learn valuable life lessons while making lasting friendships in whichever program you choose.
