The history of our institution is spanning over three centuries. Óbuda University was established as of 1 January 2010, as a legal successor of Budapest Tech – and its legal predecessors, namely Donát Bánki Technical College, Kálmán Kandó Technical College, and the Technical College of Light Industry.
We offer practice-oriented undergraduate programs in traditional disciplines with modern approach – geared towards the need of the employers. The institution develops science-based, rigorous and intellectually challenging graduate programs – acknowledged by the labour-market. The university offers disciplined, research-oriented, high-quality doctoral programs with the aim to train the researchers and scientists of the future.
Research, development and innovation are a distinguished part of the university, which creates a well-balanced unity with the education. Research, development and innovation is implemented in high-standard, internationally-known basic researches, European and national research projects, as well as industrial developments and innovation.

I would recommend Obuda University for every student who wants to work and study at the same time because the schedule is not loaded.
It's not a big faculty, that's why the teachers were friendly, they knew our name and the atmosphere was very nice. But also because of its small size, the equipments are not so special, the building's a bit old and there were many kinda useless lectures.
The experience I’ve had so far has to be unique and special, undoubtedly going to be better as the years go on.
