The degree program in Energy and Environmental Systems Engineering delivers the varied expertise required of future actors and decision-makers in the fields of energy and the environment. Students develop the skills required to change the way we address issues around climate change, energy supply, air and water pollution control, waste disposal, recycling and sustainability.
Our faculty’s breadth of perspectives makes all the difference. It equips the graduates of this program with the tools to assess, adapt and design energy and environmental systems from a technological, economic, ecological and social perspective.
One special feature is that students learn to connect the thematic areas of mechanical engineering, electrical and environmental engineering with the world of business, developing a holistic, systemic approach in the process.

General requirements
- School leaving certificate - You need a vocational or specialized baccalaureate, a general baccalaureate or an equivalent qualification to study at our university.
- Work experience - Admission to a university of applied sciences is contingent, by law, on a minimum of one year of relevant work experience. It must be completed before the start of the second year of study in one or several companies or organizations, either in Switzerland or abroad.
- English language requirements - Prospective students must either have English as their mother tongue or English language proficiency at CEF Level C1
- Further skills - Your personal talents, interests and skills are important for the successful completion of your studies.
