General requirements
- You’ll start your degree in a certificate program with the Department of Indigenous Education or with Continuing Studies at UVic. Both are one-year programs that will ladder into the Diploma in Indigenous Language Revitalization in your second year. In your third year, you’ll request a transfer to the BEd program.
- You must demonstrate English language proficiency to attend UVic. Your transcripts are enough to prove proficiency if you've studied full-time in an academic program at the high school or post-secondary level within Canada for at least four years, and all of your instruction was in English.
