Music at York University is taught within the School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design and brings together jazz, gospel, western classical, world, contemporary improvisation, digital and popular music. This Music undergraduate pathway gives students foundational training then options to specialise in performance, composition, pedagogy, community music and studies in music cultures. Students benefit from individual mentorship, frequent performance showcases and flexible course choices that support both practical and scholarly work.
