Overview

The Communication Studies BA program at York University looks at how people gather, share, and use information, bringing together elements of the social sciences and the humanities under one central concern: the study of humans' communicative capacities. You'll examine the theoretical and historical foundations of media, theories of communication processes and the relationship between social, political and economic changes and developments in the communications field. You'll also explore the expanding world of interactive telecommunication networks and new media.
