Overview

The Business Administration BBA program at York University provides a thorough, rigorous education in management, combined with a broad liberal arts education. Students study business from day one with first-year courses in Applied Business Ethics, Business History, Financial Accounting, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. In addition to core business courses, students may take one or two non-business courses each year.

The program

You will benefit from enhanced interdisciplinary and cross-cultural knowledge, which combines the strengths of the Schulich School of Business with those of the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies.

You will study a language throughout the course of your degree, choosing from French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and/or Spanish. The program integrates courses in world geography and politics and encourages more focused study in specific countries or regions.

Recognizing the need to understand management and business in their international context, the iBBA program requires every student to spend at least one academic term abroad at one of Schulich's exchange partners. To this end, the School continues to develop partnerships with leading management schools around the world in Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Kingdom and Uruguay. Students who find summer employment abroad through their own initiative may be granted university credit for the experience.
