Key Facts
Unlock your creative potential in the field of sport and exercise science with our double degree - Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science / Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation. Taking a transdisciplinary approach, this degree integrates multiple perspectives and industry experiences to equip you with high-level conceptual thinking and problem-solving abilities. Combine creativity with intelligence to become an innovator in the rapidly evolving field of sport and exercise science.
Pathways: Choose the Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) accredited major in Exercise Science and apply for the esteemed UTS Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology. Alternately with the correct elective choice, apply for the UTS Master of Physiotherapy program. If elite sport is your area of interest, you can choose the pathway into our Master of High Performance Sport.
The Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology leads to eligibility for registration with ESSA as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP). The Master of Physiotherapy leads to eligibility for registration as a physiotherapist in Australia.
The course provides students with a strong understanding of the processes and mechanisms underlying sport and exercise science, and the knowledge and skills necessary to manage and plan sport and exercise activities in health, exercise science, sport, event and exercise therapy contexts.
By focusing on the high-level conceptual thinking and problem-solving practices that lead to the development of innovative, creative and entrepreneurial outcomes, students of the combined degree also gain leading edge capabilities that are highly valued in the globalised world, including dealing with critical and creative thinking, invention, complexity, innovation, future scenario building and entrepreneurship, and the ability to work on their own across disciplines. These creative intelligence competencies enable graduates to navigate in a rapidly changing world.
