Overview
Civil engineers plan, design, construct and maintain the physical and naturally built environment including buildings; roads; bridges; airports; railways; ports; water distribution and wastewater collection systems; waste disposal facilities; tunnels; stadiums; offshore structures; dams; and other infrastructure projects. As civil engineers develop their skills, they can advance into the area of engineering management, overseeing the completion of the whole project.

The curriculum of the Civil Engineering course at Qatar University ensures excellent coverage of mathematics and basic sciences; general education; communication skills development; engineering fundamentals; core and upper-level civil engineering courses’ requirements; and design experience.
