Overview

The first two years of Economics and Accounting from University of Bristol contain mandatory units that will provide a solid grounding in both disciplines. You can choose one optional unit in each of those years but the content is otherwise fixed; this ensures that you have a robust depth of understanding which will help you when selecting from a wide range of units in the final year.

One third of the final year is made up of two compulsory units: Advanced Financial Reporting and Management Accounting for Strategy. For the remaining two thirds you will choose from a range of options which must include at least two economics units.

Previously, economics choices have included Behavioural Economics and International Economics, while accounting and finance units have included Auditing, Financial Crises and Financial Markets.
