Description

University of Bristol can support you financially if you are admitted to one of its study programmes as an international student.

University of Bristol awards scholarships, bursaries, tuition fee reductions and discounts that help you cover existing tuition and living costs. 

Benefits

This scholarship programme aims to increase opportunities for women. It covers full costs (up to agreed limits for each element) associated with the programme study, including:

  • full tuition fees
  • monthly stipend of £1732 per month to cover living costs including accommodation, for up to 12 months.
  • IELTS exam fee (for scholars without a valid Test of English)
  • return economy class travel from home country to UK (including to and from airport)
  • study related costs, such as materials, equipment, and thesis printing
  • visa and insurance and NHS surcharge costs
  • reasonable adjustments costs for scholars with disabilities.
  • ad hoc exceptional costs on a case-by-case basis

Eligibility

Eligible scholars must:

  • identify as a woman
  • be a permanent resident of, and hold valid passport of Hong Kong
  • applicants must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Region of the People's Republic of China and hold a Hong Kong Special Administrative Region permanent identity card at the time of application
  • have not previously studied at degree level or higher in the UK or lived recently in the UK
  • do not hold dual British citizenship
  • will return to their country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after their scholarship has ended
  • can demonstrate a need for financial support
  • be classified as an overseas student for fee purposes
  • have submitted an application to study a qualifying one-year full-time master's degree programme starting in September
