Civil Engineering (Hons) programme at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University  is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM), a UK-based body of professional engineering institutions: the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Institution of Structural Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, and the Institute of Highway Engineers, and the Permanent Way Institution. The JBM assesses whether educational programmes meet requirements of the Engineering Council, which regulates the UK’s engineering profession. This accreditation puts BEng Civil Engineering graduates on the fast-track to a globally recognised professional status.
