Accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), the  Chemical Engineering (Hons) course at University of Huddersfield  covers everything from the fundamentals of chemistry and process design to systems thinking, mathematics and safety.

You’ll learn from expert academics and gain hands-on experience using modern industrial equipment in our specialist labs. After your first two years, you can choose to undertake an optional supervised placement year, working in the UK or abroad to apply your learning and build valuable professional connections.

Your Career

The chemical industry is an important industrial sector that employs many chemical and process engineers, and chemical engineers are unique in their ability to design chemical processes. But chemical engineers can do much more, and chemical engineering graduates find employment in many other sectors that value the numerate and joined-up thinking that characterises the chemical engineer and gives them their power.
