Our Business Management and Leadership course is designed to help you develop the skills you need to lead from the front and inspire people in today’s dynamic commercial world.

We want you to be ambitious. If you’re enrolling on this Business Management and Leadership (Hons) course at the University of Huddersfield, you’ll be hoping to be a leader of tomorrow. So we’ll give you the chance to specialise in leadership and develop the skills to motivate and inspire a team of people to work towards a common goal.

There are plenty of theories about leadership. And of course you’ll get a thorough grounding in the current thinking from our academics, supplemented by contacts with businesses. But to succeed you’ll need to understand how that theory works in the real world too. So we include lots of opportunities for real-world application.

We’ll give you the opportunity to take a placement year working in a business, either here in the UK or abroad. Previous students have gained experience with businesses such as Sia Fibral, Unilever, National Coal Mining Museum, Caravan Guard, Thornton & Ross and Depuy.

As you progress in your studies you can tailor your course to suit you, choosing from a range of option modules including leadership, managing change and innovation.

We work closely with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and you’ll have the opportunity to achieve a CMI qualification in Management and Leadership through no additional study or assessment.
