Overview

The English Language and Linguistics programme from the University of Glasgow created the world-leading Historical Thesaurus of English, a unique resource charting the semantic development of the huge and varied vocabulary of English, and we have dedicated laboratories for analysing spoken and written language.

They have been teaching English Language and Linguistics for over 50 years and the staff are international leaders in their fields.
