University of Glasgow awards scholarships, bursaries, tuition fee reductions and discounts that help you cover existing tuition and living costs.
Benefits
The Sanctuary Scholarship provides:
- Full tuition fee waiver for the duration of study, where you are not eligible to apply for mainstream student finance to cover full tuition fees
- £5,000 per year towards for study costs
Eligibility
To be eligible applicants must:
- Hold a firm conditional or unconditional offer for full time study at the University of Glasgow
- You must currently be located in the United Kingdom and have Home or RUK fee status.
- Have submitted a claim for asylum in the UK OR are actively appealing a negative decision on claim for asylum in the UK OR have been granted Refugee Status, Humanitarian Protection (HP) or Discretionary Leave (DL) by the Home Office, as a result of an asylum claim.OR
Have come to the UK through schemes such as:
- UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS)
- Afghan citizens Resettlement Scheme
- Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP)
- Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS)
- Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme (Homes for Ukraine)
- Ukraine Family Scheme
