Geography (Hons) Bangor University

Overview

You’ll be taught by staff whose interdisciplinary research expertise spans from glacial and riverine environments to food geographies and rewilding. They’ll share insight into how the rivers, coastline, mountains, valleys and landscapes of north Wales and other parts of the world were formed. You’ll understand how humans have impacted their surroundings through, for example, housing, farming, industry and tourism.

Careers

Graduates of the the Geography (Hons) programme at Bangor University have gone on to work across a range of different sectors and occupations, such as environmental consultancy, analysis, policy making, governance, town planning, logistics for retail and transportation, teaching, research, and human resources (HR).

Employers include local councils, Thames Water, Natural Resources Wales, Network Rail, the National Grid, Airbus Defence and Space, Marks and Spencers, DHL, the Met. Office, Ordinance survey, UK National Parks, independent environmental consultancies, and UKRI (UK Research and Innovation) research councils.
