Overview

Throughout the BA (Hons) Business and Marketing degree at University of Lincoln students have the opportunity to build their familiarity with the international business environment, identify marketing opportunities, and develop an understanding of how to overcome the challenges of reaching mass and niche audiences.

The additional work placement year offers the opportunity for students to complete a period of work experience after their second year of study, in order to apply their knowledge in a real business setting. Those students who are unable to undertake or choose not to participate in the work placement year scheme, may have the option to undertake a work-related project such as a piece of consultancy or an enterprise project.

Recent Business and Marketing graduates have gone on to work in communications, market research, e-commerce, project management, account management, and creative marketing in the public sector orwithin in-house or agency marketing roles.

    PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

General Requirements

  • GCE Advanced Levels: BBC
  • International Baccalaureate: 29 points overall
  • BTEC Extended Diploma: Distinction, Merit, Merit
  • Access to Higher Education Diploma: 45 Level 3 credits with a minimum of 112 UCAS Tariff points
  • Applicants will also need at least three GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, which must include English and Maths. Equivalent Level 2 qualifications may also be considered.
  • The University accepts a wide range of qualifications as the basis for entry and will consider applicants who have a mix of qualifications.
  • We also consider applicants with extensive and relevant work experience and will give special individual consideration to those who do not meet the standard entry qualifications.
