Nutrition plays a key part in the promotion of good health and the primary prevention of diet-related illness in communities and populations.

- Become a critically reflective practitioner and gain practical experience in the health science and catering laboratories
- Gain an understanding of the relationship between food, nutrition and health
- Manage, analyse, interpret and communicate information and statistics about nutrition related health and disease states
- Undertake work-based placements to apply your expertise and refine your practical skills
- Have the option to undertake either a 20-30 day placement after year two, or a longer sandwich placement year between years two and three

General requirements
- UCAS Tariff Points: 120 points required.
- GCSE English Language and Maths at Grade 4 or above or equivalent. Key Skills Level 2, Functional Skills Level 2 and the Certificate in Adult Literacy and Adult Numeracy are accepted in place of GCSEs.
- Access to HE Diploma: Pass overall with a minimum of 120 UCAS tariff points with at least 15 merits in science.
- T Levels: Pass overall with a minimum of 120 UCAS tariff points, including a C or above on the core, in a relevant subject.
- International baccalaureate: 120 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 3 Highers of which at least 2 must be grade H5 or above and to have at least 40 points in a science.
- DBS Check: Satisfactory enhanced criminal history checks will be required by all applicants prior to acceptance on the course.
- Health Check: For certain Professional Body courses, Occupational Health checks are also part of the entry requirements.
