 Many graduates gain their first class teacher role in the school where they carry out their final School Experience, and many also continue to work with the university as members of staff in partnership schools. General Requirements

We will consider BTEC Extended Diploma, but only if it has National Curriculum content in it. We can also consider the following CACHE diplomas:

  • Level 3 diploma in Childcare and Education
  • Level 3 extended diploma for Children's care learning and development
  • Level 3 extended diploma for Children and Young People's workforce

GCSE requirements

  • You must have GCSE grade C / grade 4 or above in English, Maths and Science or be retaking them this year. 

Interviews, entrance tests, portfolios and auditions

  • Entry requires an interview and the passing of the Department for Education Professional Skills tests.
