Overview
Undertaking the Actuarial Science (Honours) at Bond University allows students with an Actuarial Science degree to further develop their technical skills and learn how they can be best used within a broader business and economic setting. You will also have the opportunity to complete all the Part II (Actuary program) subjects and receive a qualification with the Actuaries Institute and designation of Actuary. Part II (Actuary program) accreditation requires the completion of two subjects which are delivered by the Actuaries Institute in an online environment. It is a requirement to complete Honours (Part II) if you wish to become a Fellow.
The Actuarial Science program at Bond University is an innovative and immersive program that combines elements of economics, finance, statistics, data analytics and advanced mathematics to develop techniques for the management of risk and business decision making. An integral part of the Honours degree is the development of research skills and actuarial judgement through the Actuarial Control Cycle subjects and the Actuarial Research Thesis subject. The program develops skills in the challenge of crunching the ‘big data’ numbers to create practical solutions for real-world problems.
