With its distinctive focus on corporate engagement, responsible management and internationalisation, the Business Management (Hons) course from Coventry University offers students the option to select two modules from across three focus areas, supply chain management focus, leadership focus, and global focus, all of which are designed to help you further your development in a specific area of interest.
Coventry has excellent links with a range of national and international employers. Our teaching is grounded in the corporate world, by using real-life international case studies, providing a range of exciting work placement* options and allowing students the opportunity to study in our Business Simulation Suite, which has been designed to let you explore the skills you may need in a potential future business career.
The structure of the course, the experiences and support made available to you are all designed with a view to developing the skills, competencies and understanding necessary to contribute in the rapidly changing work environment.
You will have access to a wide range of field trip opportunities, with many of these being overseas, which could increase your cultural awareness and knowledge of international business, key skills that can help you as you explore your potential future career options. Trips are advertised regularly and provide opportunities to understand business within different cultural environments and to develop networks with a wider range of students and organisations.
Whether you require support and guidance in relation to long or short-term placement* desires, or the needs and expectations of external employers, our Faculty employability team will be able to offer support. You will also be able to meet with our Progress Coaches, who will be able to advise you as you progress through your course.
The optional modules available give the degree flexibility to help shape it as your potential future career options become clearer. You could go on to work in a diverse range of industries and jobs, from the civil service to large multinationals, working in anything from management and HR to advertising and marketing. We also have had past students who go on work in family businesses and are able to bring new insights and experiences.
