The curriculum is designed to prepare students to analyze complex financial structures and design optimized investment strategies. The Finance and Investment Management Program from Zewail City of Science and Technology prepares graduates to build and leverage their background in analytics to inform financial decision making for various sectors.

Program Educational Objectives

The FIM Program nurtures an academic environment that contributes effectively to empower its graduates towards having the skills, talents, and knowledge to attain the following educational objectives within four years of graduation to:

Explain the trade-off between risk and returns, explain methods of measuring and managing risk, and use financial models, including those for optimal portfolios and estimation of expected returns.

Distinguish between equilibrium and no-arbitrage pricing and be able to apply both approaches and explain the costs and benefits of the separation of ownership and control in the typical large firm.

Understand how market frictions can influence financial decisions and explain how investment and financing decisions can create and destroy value.

Pursue a successful career in finance and investment management and contribute to the advancement of businesses through investment management.

Pursue advanced degrees in local and international graduate programs in finance and investment management and related fields to emerge as thought leaders, researchers, experts, and educators.

Be a lifelong learner in the field of Finance and Investment Management and remain current in the emerging markets and methodologies in their career. And assume a leadership role in the field of Finance and Investment Management.
