On this Creative Pedagogies course at the Leeds Beckett University, you’ll explore a range of creative pedagogical tools and international perspectives. Your learning will provide you with a rich cultural lens and intercultural dialogue across countries.

This course will empower you to:

Promote greater understanding of creative pedagogies (pedagogy, curriculum and assessment) and their grounding in teacher and learner creativity
Promote holistic learning, interdisciplinary thinking, critical thinking, wellbeing, global citizenship skills within educational settings
Empower learners to become emotionally and culturally literate and connect educators globally through the approach you take to learning
Activate social change through education

Support the delivery of a wide range of academic syllabise and exam boards, and apply this to curricula from across the world

Career prospects

This interdisciplinary course will support several professional careers in education, and community and healthcare. You’ll be an expert in the use of a range of creative pedagogical tools. Your knowledge will enhance your own practice as you empower learners to become emotionally and culturally literate, and you’ll be confident in supporting other practitioners working in a range of educational settings. Programme Structure

Curriculum includes:

International Creative Pedagogies
Each module on our distance learning courses is individually designed to maximise your learning so study requirements will vary. If you choose to study this course by distance learning, as a general guideline, you’ll need to allocate around 10 hours per week to complete each module.
You’ll also need a further five hours for additional reading and assignments. However, this may vary depending on the module. Teaching and learning will be delivered using a range of interactive resources.
This typically includes audio and video content, group discussions, reflective exercises, quizzes, online reading and much more.
All these resources are delivered through our Virtual Learning Environment and can be accessed at a time and place that suits you.

General requirements

GCSE English Language and Maths at Grade 4 or above (Grade C for GCSEs taken before 2017) or equivalent. Key Skills Level 2, Functional Skills Level 2 and the Certificate in Adult Literacy and Adult Numeracy are accepted in place of GCSEs.
Access to HE Diploma: Pass overall with a minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points.
International baccalaureate: 112 tariff points or a score of 28 from the IB diploma. This should include a minimum of 3 Highers with 2 at grade H5 or above.
