Key Features
You'll study in our high-specification, purpose-built laboratories within the University's Peter de Wint Building. During this time, you'll have the opportunity to develop expertise across a wide range of materials, time periods, and collections in their historical context.
The Conservation of Cultural Heritage programme offered by University of Lincoln offers students the opportunity to continue their studies at an advanced level. Year 4 helps you to explore topics in greater depth, including undertaking project work, that is designed to prepare you for professional practice or further research.
The city of Lincoln is bursting with history and the city's rich cultural heritage makes it an ideal location in which to study conservation. The course covers a wide range of topics, such as remedial treatment, preventive conservation and collections management, and investigative and digital heritage techniques.
Career
Graduates can progress into a range of careers in the conservation and heritage industries. This includes employment as conservators in museums, galleries, historic houses, and conservation agencies - both nationally and internationally - self-employment, and further study at doctoral level. Wider heritage roles may include historic property managers, curators and learning and engagement roles.

- 104 to 112 UCAS Tariff points.
- This must be achieved from a minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications. For example:
- A Level: BCC to BBC
- BTEC Extended Diploma: Distinction Merit Merit
- T Level: Merit Overall
- Access to Higher Education Diploma: 104 to 112 UCAS points to be achieved from 45 Level 3 credits.
- International Baccalaureate: 29 points overall.
- GCSE's: Minimum of three at grade 4 or above, which must include English . Equivalent Level 2 qualifications may be considered.
- The University accepts a wide range of qualifications as the basis for entry and do accept a combination of qualifications which may include A Levels, BTECs, Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
