Academically, University of Agriculture Faisalabad offers B.Sc.(Hons.) Agri. Sciences (four years degree) in Agriculture (Hons) which the students have to study common courses during first 4 semesters. Afterwards the students opt for major choice before the beginning of their 5th semester. Available agriculture major subjects include: Agronomy, Plant Breeding & Genetics, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Forestry & Range Management, Soil Science, Horticultural Sciences, Agricultural Extension, Biotechnology, Seed Science & Technology, Marketing & Agribusiness and Post Harvest Science & Technology. Other allied degrees of B.Sc.(Hons.) are also awarded in the subjects of Agricultural & Resource Economics, Food Science & Technology, Animal Sciences, Microbiology, Environmental Sciences and Dairy Sciences.

With the collaboration of Dalhousie University, Canada, the Faculty has initiated another B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture joint degree programme with Plant Science as major subject starting from the Academic Session, 2016-2017. In accordance with this joint degree programme, students will study for first two years at University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan, and the remaining two years at Dalhousie University, Canada. Dalhousie University will award B.Sc.(Hons.) Agri. degree with the major subject "Plant Science".    

The faculty imparts practical training to students and enriches its research endeavours through Departmental Farms, Postgraduate Agricultural Research Station (PARS), Land Utilization Department, Agricultural Meteorology Cell, Advanced Computer Laboratory, Saline Agriculture Research Cell (SARC) and Plant Health Clinic, which have been established in the Faculty to carry out high-tech research work.

The faculty has a Farmers Syndicate Hall which is regularly used for interaction with farmers and other stakeholders and its alumni. The faculty has highly structured establishment for its alumni which meets every year. At this vivid juncture the old-gold and the new faculty together review the progress and discuss the needs both in academics as well as in agricultural research in an atmosphere full of fragrance from the friendship.   

The faculty offers B.Sc.(Hons.) Agri. (four years) degree programme and students can tailor their degree by opting any of the major subjects/degrees listed above. All these disciplines have undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
