Description

Landscape architecture is the art and science of creating a balance outdoor environment between the human needs and the natural environment. It involves manipulation of the landscape elements and resources in order to provide the functional, attractive and pleasant landscapes for use. A landscape architect is a professional who is responsible in planning, designing and management of landscape towards sustainable development.

Besides controbuting academically, the Department also involves in research related to landscape architecture in contributing towards the development of Malaysia’s landscape.

The mission of the Landscape Architecture (Hons) from University Putra Malaysia is “to realize the Faculty’s and University’s mission to become an excellent centre of knowledge development in landscape architecture and its related fields at national and international levels”.

STPM / Matriculation / Foundation / Diploma / equivalent qualification
Minimum CGPA around 3.00
Minimum B grade in one science-related subject
Strong English proficiency (MUET Band 3 or IELTS 5.5 or equivalent)
Must meet UPM Faculty of Agriculture/Design & Architecture selection requirements
Pass UPU / UPM admission screening (portfolio not always required for all intakes but may be considered)
