Overview

Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence with honours at University Teknologi Malaysia gives students the knowledge and skills to overcome and cope with the problems and opportunities of the emerging field of AI. The curriculum will provide a foundational course in mathematics and computer science and core AI courses. This comprises a set of courses that will particularly concentrate on the field of AI, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, generative AI, Responsible AI, and ethics and many more. Elective courses cover advanced topics in AI and AI applications in different domains. Students can choose up to 11 elective courses as per their interest or aspiration. The program emphasizes industry infused and hands-on experience via practical training, projects, and internships. Through this, the students will get a chance to apply AI techniques to real-world problems. Such hands-on experience will surely help the students gain critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Upon completion of the Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence with Honours program at UTM, graduates are well-equipped to pursue careers in various sectors such as technology, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and more. They may work as AI engineers, data scientists, machine learning specialists, research scientists, AI consultants, or pursue further studies at the graduate level. The program aims to produce graduates capable of contributing to the development and application of AI technologies to address societal challenges and drive innovation.
