All organisations need knowledgeable and ethical leaders that empower and motivate staff towards achieving organisational goals that guide the business through the complexities of the modern economic environment.
At the individual and group level, you will explore how different leadership behaviours influence different outcomes.
You will also study how both managerial and leadership approaches effect organisational change. You will learn and challenge your own thinking about how managers/leaders can create an organisational climate that helps team members to see the 'big picture'.
To develop the necessary managerial and leadership skills and competencies required, the major addresses different leader approaches from behavioural leadership towards strategic and authentic leadership.
You will also learn how to be innovative and creative and identify a range of solutions that will assist in solving complex problems.
In addition to your chosen specialisation of Management and Leadership, you can choose to study another area in more depth with a second major, or broaden your knowledge with a combination of both minor specialisations and/or approved courses. These can be chosen from a wide range of business and commerce-related fields.

Career outcomes
