Overview
- All organisations need knowledgeable and ethical leaders that empower and motivate staff towards achieving organisational goals that guide the business through the complexities of the modern economic environment.
- At the individual and group level, you will explore how different leadership behaviours influence different outcomes.
- You will also study how both managerial and leadership approaches effect organisational change. You will learn and challenge your own thinking about how managers/leaders can create an organisational climate that helps team members to see the 'big picture'.
- To develop the necessary managerial and leadership skills and competencies required, the major addresses different leader approaches from behavioural leadership towards strategic and authentic leadership.
- You will also learn how to be innovative and creative and identify a range of solutions that will assist in solving complex problems.
- In addition to your chosen specialisation of Management and Leadership, you can choose to study another area in more depth with a second major, or broaden your knowledge with a combination of both minor specialisations and/or approved courses. These can be chosen from a wide range of business and commerce-related fields.
