Overview

At Theatre - Acting and Performance at York University you’ll train in performance techniques, character creation and multiple acting methods while learning how to build fully embodied, compelling performances drawn from diverse dramatic sources.

After completing a common first year with all Theatre students, you’ll move into a focused sequence of courses in Acting, Devised Theatre, Voice, Movement and other specialized performance classes. Over three years of intensive training, you’ll develop the technical, creative and collaborative skills needed for careers in acting, performing arts, theatre, film, television and digital performance.
