Overview
The MediCampus Europeo Medical (MD) six-year programme is a full-time undergraduate medical degree delivered in English and designed in line with European higher education standards. The programme provides students with a strong scientific foundation in biomedical and clinical sciences, integrated with early and progressive clinical exposure.
Teaching is delivered through a combination of lectures, small-group tutorials, laboratory work, simulation-based training, and supervised clinical placements in leading European teaching hospitals. Students develop core medical competencies including clinical reasoning, communication skills, ethical practice, and evidence-based decision-making.
The curriculum follows a structured progression from pre-clinical sciences to clinical medicine, supported by modern teaching facilities and structured clinical training in affiliated European hospitals. Graduates are prepared for postgraduate medical training and international medical careers, subject to national recognition requirements.
Bologna Conformity and Degree Award
The MD programme is fully Bologna-compliant and follows the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), ensuring transparency, comparability, and academic mobility across Europe. The academic year begins annually at the end of September and is divided into two semesters (Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer).
The programme is delivered in collaboration with Trakia University, the second-largest public university in Bulgaria. The final medical degree is awarded by Trakia University, MediCampus Europeo in Malta.
In line with European legislation on the recognition of professional qualifications, the medical degree is eligible for automatic recognition within the European Union, as well as in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Norway. Recognition in other countries worldwide may be pursued in accordance with the relevant national procedures.
