Our Paramedic Science degree will equip you for an exciting and rewarding career as a paramedic registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.Learning from a diverse teaching faculty with a variety of NHS practice experience and expertise, you will obtain the knowledge and clinical skills paramedics need to treat and manage patients in the pre-hospital environment.You will engage in regular practical learning using our simulation facilities, including our simulated ambulance, mock hospital ward, and mock patient residence. You will also practise alongside other emergency services and professional groups during high-fidelity simulation events, station-based inductions and vehicle extraction exercises. Our Major Incident Day will also enable you to work with policing and forensic students to respond to a series of realistic simulated crimes and emergency scenes.

Alongside this, you will gain placement opportunities in settings such as the ambulance service, emergency departments, mental health, end-of-life care, hospital theatres, and residential homes.
