In Lithuania, the first 700 MW offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea will start operating in 2028, producing up to 6 terawatt-hours of green electricity per year – half of Lithuania’s current electricity needs. A second farm of the same capacity will follow in 2030. Together, these projects will attract over EUR 2 billion in investment and create about 2,600 new jobs, ranging from construction to long-term maintenance. "
