Overview
The Medical Laboratory Sciences Program (MLSP) is a three-year program leading to a BS degree in MLS. Students in MLS can also follow the premedical track and can complete their premedical requirements in three years including two summers.

Medical Laboratory Sciences students from American University of Beirut acquire knowledge in basic and life sciences as well as state-of-the-art training in the performance of a broad array of medical laboratory tests. The Medical laboratory field includes the following disciplines: Bacteriology, Blood Banking, Clinical Chemistry, Cytogenetics, Hematology, immunology, Molecular Biology, Parasitology, and Virology.
Year III of the program includes an intensive program of rotation through different sections of the laboratory at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC). The MLS training program is offered in coordination with the department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine.
