This degree course combines theoretical insights and practical skills. You'll gain expertise in fashion management, buying, merchandising, branding, communication and sustainability, while exploring the historical, cultural, and strategic aspects of the global fashion market. You'll also develop essential digital skills that ensure you're prepared for  the fashion business industry.

Overview

This fashion business course is designed for those who are passionate about both the creative and commercial aspects of the fashion industry.

This course has dual accreditation with The Chartered Management Institute.

Programme Structure

You will learn:

  • social, political, and cultural structures such as gender, race, and class, and encourages you to evaluate how these factors impact fashion businesses.
  • fundamental digital skills required within contemporary fashion businesses
  • understanding of fashion business strategy and acquire practical skills in digital buying and merchandising, all while embracing principles of global sustainability and ethics
  • fashion forecasting and the analysis of consumer trends

General requirements

The standard entry requirements is one of the following:

  • 112 UCAS tariff points, see accepted qualifications
  • Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art & Design (Level 3 or 4)
  • Distinction, Merit, Merit at BTEC Extended Diploma / BTEC National Extended Diploma
  • Merit at UAL Extended Diploma
  • 112 UCAS tariff points from an accredited Access to Higher Education Diploma in appropriate subject
  • 27-30 total points in the International Baccalaureate Diploma with at least 15 IB points at Higher level, see more information about IB entry requirements

And four GCSE passes at grade 9-4/A*-C including English (or Functional Skills English/Key Skills Communication Level 2).
