Overview

The Design at Monash University, Indonesia empowers students to become globally minded designers who can respond thoughtfully and sustainably to both local and global challenges.

The programme blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on studio projects, drawing practice, and self-directed electives. Students engage in interdisciplinary teamwork and collaborative problem-solving to address real-world issues.

Specialisations

Students can tailor their degree to one of four high-demand design specialisations:

• Collaborative Design: Tackle real-world challenges through interdisciplinary teamwork, systems thinking, and service design.

• Communication Design: Focuses on storytelling through digital media, typography, animation, UI/UX, motion and branding.

• Industrial Design: Innovate in product design through research, prototyping, and sustainable production methods.

• Spatial Design: Create immersive environments and experiences in architecture, interiors, exhibition design, and urban space.
