Overview

The International Tourism, Hospitality and Events (Top-Up) (Hons) course from Northumbria University aims to equip students with a wide range of professional and managerial skills essential within the dynamic tourism, hospitality, and events sectors.

The course includes specialist modules that cover innovation and entrepreneurship in international tourism, hospitality, and event managers, as well as addressing the global challenges and future of tourism. There is also a module on international hospitality management, which will give you a wider perspective on operational practices and strategic decision-making processes.

Your Future

At the end of this course there are logical career paths into hospitality, tourism, and events, both in the UK and around the world. Potential roles include events manager, restaurant manager, accommodation manager and tour manager.

You can also undertake further study at postgraduate level with a course such as our Business with Hospitality and Tourism Management MSc. If you decide to start up your own business, it’s good to know that the combined turnover of our graduates’ start-up companies is higher than that of any other UK university.
