Overview

The main features of our Materials Science and Engineering programme include:

responding to the strategic areas of tech development in Hong Kong/ Greater Bay Area: microelectronics, advanced manufacturing, new energy and green technology, biomedicine and biotechnology;
teaching advanced concepts and methods for materials, e.g., computer simulation of materials, AI for new materials design;
industrial internship opportunity in Hong Kong/ Greater Bay Area.

Students admitted will pursue the MASE offered by The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) as the first Major. They would also have the option of choosing one of the following Majors offered by either CUHK or The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) (CUHK(SZ)) as their second Major. Students could attend classes and participate in learning and research activities at both campuses
