Logistics is one of the oldest fields of business science. It started with the movement of people from one place to another (migration or military purposes) and trade. Today, logisticians are experts who organize and coordinate the system that enables a product to be delivered from the producer to the consumer, in other words, the supply chain of an organization.

They manage the emergence, distribution, and delivery of a product, i.e. the entire life cycle of the product. Logistics experts oversee the activities of purchasing, transportation, storage, warehousing, stocking and delivery to the end user. They manage the movement of products and people from one place to another, ranging from a simple product to military equipment.
