Overview
The new study programme “International Relations and Diplomacy” can be studied in the Slovak language with a choice of elective courses in English, or purely in English. The programme offers exceptional opportunities for exceptional students with an active interest in world events.
The International Relations and Diplomacy programme from Pan European University will also be attended by the rector of the Pan-European University and the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Slovak Society for Foreign Policy – Dr.hc prof. Ing. Juraj Stern, PhD. Other internationally recognized personalities who will participate in the teaching include prof. JUDr. Dalibor Jílek, CSc . – member of the Advisory Committee on the Protection of National Minorities of the Council of Europe and member of the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance.
The student also gains the connection between theory and practice through special lectures by experts from practice, foreign and Slovak statesmen, or professionals working in diplomacy. After completing the programme " International Relations and Diplomacy", the student will be equipped with professional knowledge in the field of political science, law, economics, or history, but also with language skills. University studies are also a space for gaining contacts in the professional sphere, which we provide at the Pan-European University thanks to the possibilities of internships, professional practice, or cooperation with partners.
Career
A graduate of the bachelor's degree programme "International Relations and Diplomacy" becomes an expert in the field of international relations, who is qualified to work abroad and in relevant structures on the territory of our state. He/she will gain orientation and overview in the basic categories of political analysis and political science, history, political geography, basics of diplomacy, basics of economics and basics of law, and at the same time will be able to communicate professionally on the given issue in a foreign language.
