The Midwifery BSc program at Middlesex University prepares accountable, autonomous midwives who work in partnership with women. It builds on your existing knowledge and experience of healthcare systems and practice, to enable you to provide midwifery care across the continuum of care for women, newborn infants, and families.
Part one will introduce you to the role of the midwife and normal midwifery care including anatomy and physiology. Time spent during practice placements will help you to link foundational theory to midwifery practice.
Part two will build on the skills you have developed in part one, introducing you to complex care, managing emergencies and leadership skills.
This course enables you to achieve outcomes and proficiencies in-line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, leading to entry to register as a midwife.
