Dalhousie University 's Theatre Studies programme explores the entire breadth of theatre. From playwriting to performance analysis, directing to dramaturgy, Theatre Studies offers you the opportunity to examine theatre's rich history, literature, and performance traditions.
This academically-oriented programme of study will sharpen your critical thinking and strengthen your analysis skills. You'll be prepared for a career in professional theatre with hands-on learning and the ability to participate in up to three stage productions a year in various roles and positions.
You’ll study theatre in a friendly city with an inclusive and diverse arts community! Our students benifit from frequent engagement with artists and job opportunities from companies such as Neptune Theatre, Eastern Front Theatre, Prismatic Arts Festival and the many other companies and festivals from Nova Scotia's busy theatre scene.

- Completion of secondary school (Grade 12)
